Fees & Our Transparency Commitment

We believe clear fees help you make treatment decisions with confidence. This page sets out our transparency commitments, how we quote, what a quote includes, and how to raise a question.

Our view on fee transparency

When seeing a dentist, many people care as much about fees as about the treatment itself. We believe clear, predictable fees help you make treatment decisions with confidence, together with your dentist. This page sets out our transparency commitments, how we quote, and how you can raise a question.

Our fee transparency commitments

  1. Assessment first, quote up front — Before any treatment begins, the dentist carries out a clinical assessment and gives you a clear quote; no chargeable treatment starts without your consent.
  2. Every case differs, explained honestly — Treatment plans and costs vary with each person's oral condition; we explain honestly why your case needs the treatment involved and what it costs.
  3. Viable options, your choice — Where there is more than one viable option, we set out the pros, cons and cost differences of each, and the patient decides.
  4. Whether to start is your decision — After the quote you are free to choose whether to begin treatment; if you decide not to, there are no hidden charges.

How we quote

Dental treatment depends on individual assessment. The dentist examines you first and, where needed, arranges imaging such as X-rays, then recommends a plan and provides a quote. Fees vary with your oral condition, the plan and the materials needed, so an accurate price follows the clinical assessment.

What a quote usually includes

Different treatments are made up of different components. For a more complex treatment such as an implant, the fee may be itemised into pre-treatment assessment, the main treatment components and any additional steps if required. We set out the recommended items in the quote so the make-up of the fee is clear. See our implant cost page for an example of how a fee is broken down.

Feedback & enquiries

If you have any questions about the recommended plan or quote, you are welcome to ask — the dentist is happy to explain the reasoning and options further, and you can take the time you need before deciding. For any enquiry or feedback, please contact us:

  • Email: cs@homedentalhk.com
  • WhatsApp: +852 5402 6630

We have three dental centres, in Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsuen Wan.
