Dental Implant Cost & Process in Hong Kong

Implant cost is not one number — it combines the implant, crown and any bone graft, and depends on your bone and case complexity. Our approach is simple: assess first, quote clearly, then you decide — with alternative options where feasible. Below: the cost components, the process and FAQs.

Implant cost: assess first, then quote, and you decide

Implant cost is not a single number. Our approach is simple: we assess first with a clinical exam and X-ray/CT, then give you a clear quote, and you decide whether to proceed. Where more than one option is viable, we explain the differences so you can compare and choose. The final fee depends on the implant brand, your bone, whether grafting is needed and case complexity — so an accurate price is confirmed after assessment.

Factors that affect implant cost

  • Implant brand/system — materials, evidence and support vary.
  • Bone quality and volume — insufficient bone means grafting.
  • Number and position of missing teeth — single, multiple or full-arch (e.g. All-on-4).
  • Crown material — all-ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal, etc.
  • Case complexity — immediate placement, sinus lift and other steps.

The implant process

  1. Consultation & assessment — exam + X-ray/CT, plan and quote.
  2. Implant placement — the titanium root is placed; grafting if needed.
  3. Osseointegration — the implant fuses with bone, usually over some months.
  4. Crown fitting — impressions taken and the crown fixed.
  5. Reviews & maintenance — regular checks and cleaning.

FAQ

How does your implant pricing work?

We first carry out a clinical and X-ray/CT assessment, then give you a clear quote; after the quote it is your decision whether to proceed — no hard sell. Where more than one viable option exists, we set out the differences and cost so you can choose.

Why do implant prices vary so much?

Because each case differs in implant brand, bone, number of missing teeth, crown material and whether grafting is needed — all of which affect the total, so a quote follows assessment.

Does the fee include the crown and bone graft?

The implant, abutment and crown are usually separate components; a bone graft is an extra step only when needed. Your written quote lists exactly what is included.

How many stages are there, and how long?

Typically assessment, implant placement, osseointegration, then the crown. Osseointegration usually takes some months depending on your bone and healing.

Why is an X-ray/CT needed before a quote?

Imaging shows bone volume, quality and nerve position — essential to judge suitability and grafting, and the basis for an accurate quote.

Can I have an implant if my bone is insufficient?

Often yes, after bone grafting to add volume; where other options are viable the dentist will explain them, and the choice is yours.

Traditional vs minimally-invasive/immediate implants?

Techniques differ in method, suitability and treatment time; what suits you depends on your oral condition. See our implant guide for more.

Do I have to proceed after the quote?

No. After the quote you are free to decide whether to start treatment, and there are no hidden charges if you choose not to.
